Brussels in GermanThe exhibition will take place in the capital of Belgium in the heart of Brussels. The exhibition will focus on the World War I. in Belgium and it will show the life of the Belgians during the war and the German occupation. The World War I. begun in 1914 and it lasted until 1918.

The war was centred in Europe and more than 9 million combatants and over 7 million civilians died during the war. It was one of the deadliest conflict in the history of Europe. It is the 100th anniversary of the World War I. and in this occasion the museum will display the life in Brussels during the German the occupation. At the exhibition visitors will have the chance to see the World War I. through the eyes of the Belgian citizens and to have an inside look in the everyday life. The exhibition will compare the life of the inhabitants in Brussels with the life in other German cities. Several unusual and unique objects will be shown at the exhibition such as postcards, caricatures, photos by the artist of Brussels from that period of time. The exhibits show the struggle of the citizens in the everyday life.

The exhibition will take place in Brussels at the Museum of the City of Brussels from 21st August 2014 until 3rd May 2015. The entrance fee for the exhibition is 4 euros for adults, 3 euros for seniors, students and groups, 2 euros for children and schools and it is free under 18 years old at the weekend.
