Westminster Abbey

Westminster Abbey is on the World Heritage Site list of UNESCO. There has been a building on the spot since 1045, but they destroyed that building in 1245 and on the same spot Henrik III raised this impressing church, which is one of the most seen attractions in London.

Westminster Abbey is located near the Parliament and Big Ben, and this is the traditional coronation and burial site for English kings. Several other celebrities have also been buried here, such as Isaac Newton, Händel, Charles Dickens and William Shakespeare. The wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton was arranged in Westminster Abbey, following the British traditions.
