Capitoline Museum

Capitoline MuseumLocated at Piazza del Campidoglio at Capitolium this is a museum, or museums, with great art and archeological objects. The collection can be seen in three different palazzi surrounding the beautiful piazza with the statue of Marcus Aurelius int he middle. Inside one of the buildings the famous statue of the wolf breastfeeding Romulus and Remus can be seen.

This is one of the absolute best museums in Rome, and if you want to visit this, take the metro to Colosseo and walk from there. The museums are closed on Mondays.
